This week was full of culture as we explored Stonehenge and Bath on our International Student Trip.

UWLSU partnered with the university to give our international students the opportunity to discover more about the country they study in. First, we ventured to the most well-known prehistoric monument in Europe – Stonehenge. The huge stone circle has been around since 2500 BC and is on the bucket list of anyone looking to delve into England’s history.

The next stop on the agenda was the beautiful city of Bath. We spent the rest of the day strolling through the streets and learning about the intricate architecture. The buildings date back years, with the city being the home of original Roman Baths. UWL International Student Experience Coordinator, Andreea-Daniela Coroama, planned a walking tour, taking us through the fascinating history of the buildings.

Students took in every second of the experience and showed us the positive impact these trips have on their experience:

“I came on the trip solo, but with the Students’ Union I’ve had so much fun at Stonehenge and Bath!”

Nandini Gupta

“I’ve really loved it. I’ve enjoyed that we’ve gone to two different locations, so it’s like two trips in one. I also love that we had an organised tour in Bath”
